Lennart Edling is resigning as the MD of Lantmännen Maskin on 31 December after five years in the role. Håkan Pettersson, Head of the Machinery Sector, will become the Acting MD.
In the five years that Lennart has been in charge, a considerable amount of work has been carried out to create long-term, stable and profitable business for Lantmännen Maskin.
“Measures have been taken to increase customer benefits, develop our organisation and our working method, and we’ve also been working on our various brands. During this time we’ve been able to reduce costs and tied-up capital in all of Lantmännen Maskin’s operations in Sweden, Norway and Denmark,” says Håkan Pettersson.
Two new tractor brands, Claas and Fendt, have been launched on the markets. Important programmes for competence and leadership development have been set up. Lantmännen Maskin is now well prepared to go even further towards improving customer benefits and profitability.
“Many changes have taken place during my five years as MD. All with the same objective – to create the right conditions for healthy, long-term profitability and to ensure that Lantmännen Maskin develops strongly. We’ve faced many very exciting, enlightening and rewarding challenges. It’s now time for me to hand over responsibility for the continued development of the company,” says Lennart Edling.
Håkan Pettersson will become the Acting MD. The recruitment process for a new Managing Director of Lantmännen Maskin is now underway.
“I would like to thank Lennart for his commitment and excellent work over these years. It’s great that he’s going to stay at the organisation. From 1 January Lennart will work on strategic projects in the Machinery Sector,” says Håkan Pettersson.
