Lantmännen Agroetanol is Sweden´s only large scale producer of grain based fuel ethanol. Customers are oil companies who use the ethanol for low mixture in 95 octane petrol. Because the process of energy in ethanol production is biomass-based and thanks to nearly whole grain raw material is produced, will energy yield very good and carbon dioxide emissions reduced by up to 70 percent - compared to gasoline.
Lantmännen Agroenergi produces, markets and sells wood pellets, powder, briquettes and logs under the brand Agrol. The company is market leaders in solid bio fuels in Sweden. Lantmännen Agroenergi also runs a number of small and medium large heating plants in southern and mid part of Sweden. Lantmännen Aspen develops, produces and markets alkylate petrol under the brand Aspen. The company is market leading in Sweden and 17 European countries. Alkylate petrol is an environmentally friendly petroleum product, mainly used in small engines, for example lawn mowers, chain saws, snow mobiles and boats.
