Trainee @ Lantmännen

As a trainee at Lantmännen you are offered a unique start to your career where you will be a part of a dynamic and global Group with a vision for growth - in both existing and new markets. You will join one of our professional teams somewhere in our global organization, either within one of our sectors: Agriculture, Machinery, Energy, Real Estate or Food, or in Group Functions.

Over a 15-month period, you will be given the opportunity to try out four different positions across various sectors, countries and functions – all to gain in-depth insights into our wide range of products and services. Most importantly, you will be part of a global network and share knowledge and experiences with skilled colleagues, as well as the chance to make an impact on society and peoples’ everyday lives. After the program is finished, you will get a permanent position somewhere in our international organization.

4 assignments

The four assignments in the program are spread across our business areas. The first two positions are decided by the program manager; one based on your educational background, and one pushing you ‘outside your comfort zone’ - giving you the opportunity to try something new.

For the final two positions, you will be given the opportunity to influence what you want to do based on the experience you have gained within the group.

At least one assignment will be abroad – probably in one of Lantmännen’s largest markets as for example: the Nordics, Germany, the UK, Belgium or the US. Positions in Sweden depend on which project you are assigned or choose. Lantmännen has facilities throughout Sweden, although a large part of our businesses is based in Malmö and Stockholm.

Projects greatly vary, with the aim of giving you as a trainee a wide range of knowledge and experience from different sectors and countries.

Training

A number of training sessions are held in parallel with work periods, with input from the entire Group. This training provides a good platform in important areas such as leadership, personal development, and strategic business thinking. And are all designed to give you the right tools for a steep development curve within our group.

Strategic Group Assignment

The trainee program also includes a strategic group assignment, which focuses on Lantmännen’s future development. These strategic projects are often initiated directly by the Group Management team.

About the recruitment process

Our Graduate Trainee Program starts after the summer every second year - 2018, 2020, 2022 and so on. The application process starts in November the year before and to qualify you need at least a Bachelor’s degree, preferably within Business, Engineering or Agriculture.

The recruitment process consists of several steps, such as interviews and tests. One further step of the process is an assessment day at our head office in Stockholm, to which a number of candidates are invited. The purpose with this day is for you, as a candidate, to get to know Lantmännen better, but also for us to get to know you, to be able to evaluate you as a potential future trainee and if there is a match between us.
