As a trainee at Lantmännen Group, you are offered a unique possibility to grow you career. Over a 15-month period you will try out four different positions across various sectors, countries and functions. Parallell, several training sessions are held, which provides a good platform in important areas such as leadership, personal development, and strategic business thinking.

Life as a trainee with us
As a trainee at Lantmännen you are offered a unique start to your career where you will be a part of a dynamic and global Group with a vision for growth in both existing and new markets. You will join one of our professional teams somewhere in our global organization, either within one of our main sectors: Agriculture, Machinery, Energy or Food, or in group functions. Over a 15-month period, you will be given the opportunity to try out four different positions across various sectors, countries and professions – all to achieve in-depth insight into our wide range of products and services.
Most importantly, you will be part of a global network and share knowledge with skilled colleagues, as well as the chance to make an impact on society and peoples’ everyday lives. After the program is finished, you will get a permanent position somewhere in our international organization.
The four positions in the program are spread across all our business areas. The first two positions are decided by the program manager; one based on your educational background, and one pushing you ‘outside your comfort zone’.
The final two positions are chosen in dialogue with the program manager, where you will be given the opportunity to influence what you want to do based on the experience you have gained within the group.
At least one assignment will be abroad – probably in one of Lantmännen’s largest markets: Scandinavia, Germany, the UK, Belgium, Poland, The Netherlands, the Baltics, Russia or the US.
Assignments in Sweden depend on which project you are assigned to or choose. Lantmännen has facilities throughout Sweden, from Kiruna in the north to Ystad in the south. A large part of our businesses is based in Malmö and Stockholm.
Projects greatly vary, with the aim of giving you as a trainee a wide range of knowledge in our different business areas.

A number of training sessions are held in parallel with work periods, with input from the entire Group. This training provides a good platform in important areas such as leadership, personal development, and strategic business thinking, all designed to give you the right tools for a steep development curve within our group.
Strategic Group Assignment
The trainee program also includes a strategic group assignment that runs throughout the entire trainee program, with a focus on Lantmännen’s future development. Strategic projects are initiated directly by the Group Management team.

About the recruitment process
Our Graduate Trainee Program starts after the summer every two years. 2018, 2020, 2022 and so on. The application process starts in October the previous year and ends at the end of January. To qualify you need at least a Bachelor’s degree, preferably specialising in Business, Engineering or Agriculture.
As an initial step of the recruitment process, 70 shortlisted candidates are invited to an assessment day at our Head Office in Stockholm. This day aims to help you to get to know us better and for us to evaluate you as a potential future trainees. Hopefully we will become a match.
