Procurement Category Manager - IT

Organization & Role

Lantmännen’s Group Function Supply Chain is looking for a driven Indirect Material & Services (IMS) Category Manager within the field of IT. As the Category Manager for IT, you are part of the IMS procurement team and work closely with both IT, as well as the legal department. The IMS Procurement team’s main task is to lead the Procurement Category Management for the group-wide indirect categories. The IMS Procurement team consists of 10 employees (Sr Category Managers, Category Managers, Analysts). The IT team consists of five senior members with backgrounds from economy and/or legal. Together, our team is responsible for a spend of approx. 6000 MSEK/year. Lantmännen has great potential to further improve and develop procurement, and IMS plays a vital part of this journey. Our vision is to be the business partner of choice. This role reports to the Head of IMS Purchasing. It is a full-time position, located at our headquarters in Stockholm.

Areas of responsibility

As the Procurement Category Manager – IT, your main areas of responsibility will be:

  • Participate & lead sourcing activities within IT; supplier evaluations, negotiation & re-negotiation of contracts, extension & consolidation of contracts
  • Lead the implementation of new contracts in place across the organization
  • Proactively review contracts and processes according to supplier ownership
  • Optimize and develop supplier agreement to support the ongoing change journey
  • Represent the IMS Procurement team in Lantmännen’s prioritized Group projects where IT resources are needed; drive the necessary processes forward internally

To succeed in this role within the IMS Procurement team we believe you have:

  • An academic background
  • 5+ years of IT-sourcing on a tactical and/or strategic level
  • Work experience from procurement tender processes, negotiations & writing agreements
  • Worked together with IT-departments & international 3rd party IT Service Providers
  • International work experience
  • Excellent project & stakeholder management skills, preferably from cross-functional projects
  • Strong analyzing, planning, and prioritizing skills
  • A solid sense of ownership & structure, and make sure to get implementations executed.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convince internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent written & spoken English skills; minimum beginner level Swedish skills
  • A European working permit
  • The willingness to develop within our organization & a passion for IT & project management
